About Alexis Crandell-Blackmer

Cheers! I’m Alexis Crandell-Blackmer, owner and operator of Studio Xplore. Throughout my life, I have drifted toward the right side of the brain. I love to observe, contemplate, learn and create. This led me to a career in graphic design and communications. It wasn’t long before I picked up a camera again (sans darkroom and film this time) and became enamored with digital photography. After my fantastic husband Kevin, my biggest cheerleader, surprised me with the camera we had been saving for, there was no turning back! (thanks sweetie!) Studio Xplore was born.

My philosophy? Life is an exploration. There is always a story to be found and a unique way to express what is discovered.

Studio Xplore thrives on exploration and expression. I tell your story through pictures, joining you on your adventure of life for a few moments. My style is natural and journalistic. My goal is to capture the essence of your beautiful day, your wonderful family, your cherished moments.

With training and experience in design, photography and communications, Studio Xplore is technically and artistically competent.

But just as importantly, I love to explore, and look forward to meeting you and helping to capture your story.

  1. Alexis photographed my wedding, and I cannot express how happy I was with the results. Not only did she do an incredible job of capturing the momements that were so important to me and my family on such an important day, but the collection of photos are truely a work of art. On top of that she made everyone feel at ease and helped us relax so she could catch us just being ourselves. She was organized and a pro in putting together the group shots as well. If you want your wedding photography to be personal, beautiful and unique, then Alexis and Studio Xplore should be at the top of your list.
